BEHIND THE CHAIR

Working hard for something we love is called passion. Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you're passionate about something, then you're more willing to take risks.

"A little over four years ago, my beautiful daughter was born and my life was changed for the better. Right then and there, life had a different purpose and I knew I needed something more for us. I was in school to become a teacher at the time, but knew something was missing. With the support of my family, I decided to take a leap of faith and attend cosmetology school. There was this new drive, new passion, new spark in my eyes and nobody could take that away from me. I had the pleasure of working with amazing teachers who prepared and motivated me to become everything I am today. I got my first salon job at a well known, high end salon & spa starting as a hair assistant, working my way up to hair artist. I learned so many things as a stylist and always continue my education through all and any classes. I realized I had an underlying passion for curly hair when I attended a Deva Curl certification class. Not only did I become certified, I applied through the company and became a curl coach educator, where I am able to travel and spread my love and knowledge for curly hair. I have met so many amazing people through this journey, and have built such an amazing relationship with my clients. It is because of my wonderful clients and the support of my family and fiance, that I am able to make my dream a reality and finally become a salon owner! I have so many people to thank and so many things to be grateful for, including my wonderful team of girls joining me on this journey. My goal is to motivate, inspire and empower the community through this amazing opportunity that I was given. Let's make today beautiful!"

"My passion for hair started with a curling iron and my grandfather's puffy, snow white hair. I would spend hours repeating the same curls all over his head until I felt they were perfect. And so it blossomed into who I am today: completely obsessed with this amazing career of mine. Although I enjoy all aspects of hair, color has captured my heart. It allows me to use the most creativity and truly be myself. My favorite thing about my career has been the opportunity to meet so many different personality types and my ability to make their lives a little more unique. my daily goal is to make each client feel comfortable while building a relationship of trust. At the end of the day, I thank God for my sweet life filled with puppy kisses from my cocker spaniel, Radlee and complete, loving support from my fiance. Now let's make you feel beautiful! As always, do what you love."

"When I first graduated from high school, I had no idea what I really wanted to do. First, I started classes at the local community collage nursing program because I love caring for people. After a couple of semesters, I felt like I still wasn't where I was suppose to be. I then decided on working towards a business degree, but there was still this underlying passion inside. I started selling Mary Kay and fell in love with making people feel beautiful and more confident. It didn't take long to realize that the beauty industry was made for me! I took a leap of faith and enrolled in cosmetology school which lead me to a career path that I truly love and enjoy everyday. I am married to my bestfriend and my biggest supporter. I have 2 fur babies and a beautiful baby girl. Come on in and let me work my hair magic!"

"I was born in Danville, but Roanoke is where I was raised. This is my home, where I live with my two dogs, three cats, and a loving and wonderful Fiance. Since we have basically a full house with animals, "at peace" is a word that is not used too often in our home. When I want to feel some peace, you can find me looking at the latest hair techniques and trends. Whether it's a men's style or color, I am looking at it all to soak up as much information as I can. I am a recent Paul Mitchell graduate, but that does not mean my learning has stopped as an artist. I am ready to take on my dreams and to make you radiate beauty!"

"I am a South Carolina Native, GO GAMECOCKS! I started doing hair for the men in my family at a very young age. As I got older, my passion for men's grooming grew stronger. I watched educational videos to teach myself new tricks and techniques to accomplish the perfect fade. I finally decided to take a leap of faith, and get my cosmetology license. Since then, I have grown as an artist in many ways. I work hard everyday to provide precision haircuts to all of my clients. I hope to have you in my chair!"
